Airfom Seat: Two Nuts In a Greenland II

Postby spoonido on Wed Jun 30, 2010 1:29 pm

My sweetie loves her new Airfom seat, but after a 3 hour paddle in Morro Bay I discovered that the two sharp bolt ends with locking nuts facing down on the bottom front of the seat had worn two grooves in the skin. :x

I reversed the bolts so that the smoother screwhead now faces down on the skin. Hopefully the sharp ends of the bolts (now facing up) will not puncture the seat or her legs.

Is this a design flaw? Has anyone had this issue? :?:

You might think about filing the sharp edges down and putting a gob of silicone on there.

I'll leave the thinking to you clever fellows and just follow your advice. Thanks! :D
